4K Roller Coasters You Can Ride From Home

by Ronald Elias

1. Climbing Everest

We might not be able to go to Disney -- or any of our favorite theme parks -- these days, but that doesn’t mean we can’t put that 4K TV/monitor to good use. We can’t ride rides, but we can watch roller coaster ride-throughs online!

First up, arguably Disney’s best coaster: The mythic Expedition Everest. And no, the yeti isn’t fixed in this video, either. But, just look at that detail you get at 4K and 60 FPS, though!

2. Adventure Time

Next up on a great tour is Six Flags Great Adventure, where we are going to stop and take the Nitro out for a spin. At 80 miles-per-hour, this coaster is no slouch -- even when you  watch this video from the comfort of your couch!

3. The Taller They Are, the Bigger the Fall

Let’s take things up a notch. Actually, since we’re cozy in the safety of our own homes, let’s take it up a few notches. Think you can handle the world’s steepest roller coaster? Let’s steel our nerves and  head to Japan and take a (virtual) ride on the Takabisha. Are you brave enough? Are you sure?

4. Release the Kraken

Yes, yes, we know it may be hard to believe, but there are other places to visit in Orlando aside from the mouse house.

Take a dip in the pool over at SeaWorld Orlando, for example, and you’ll be able to take a ride on the Kraken. Just don’t let it sink your boat.

5. Life Finds a Way

For some reason, people just can’t get enough of watching other people make the same mistakes about dinosaurs over and over and over … and over again. So much so, that they even base rides on watching these people make those same mistakes!

At least Universal Studios Hollywood’s Jurassic World ride doesn’t use real dinosaurs, I guess, so we can forget about the whole morality/cloning//lesson learning/sciencey  debates therein and just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

6. Jawsome

Let’s end our list of rides with another 4K , 60 FSP ride through a hyper coaster -- this one is none other than the Mako, the tallest coaster in Orlando. Can you tame the shark and live to tell the tale? I guess we’ll find out!

Oh, are you stuck watching all of these videos in 1080p? Or, even worse yet, 720p? Don’t worry -- give us a call today and we’ll help you get fitted out with a great 4K screen, and soon you’ll be able to enjoy all the dips, turns, and screams of your favorite coasters, right from your living room. At least until you can go out and ride them in person again.
