1. Strive for Five
Let’s start off with the five servings of vegetables that we should eat every day -- oh wait, no, we mean Mach Five. We’re going to start off with some drops down the Mach Five Water Slides.
Sadly, the Mach Five Water Slides at Wet ‘n Wild in Orlando aren’t there anymore, but this 4K footage can help you relive the glory days … or give you a chance to slide down them and see what you missed out on.
2. Real Or Not Real?
From Orlando, we’re going to head someplace that explorers have been trying to find for centuries. Many may believe that it has sunk and lives underneath the waves, but let’s head to Atlantis.
OK, sure, fine, the Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai may not be the hidden sunken city, but it does have some rides worth checking out. Take a virtual ride down the Shark Attack -- just make sure you don’t get bit!
3. Venture into the Volcano
We aren’t sure why so many “water” slides seem to be volcano themed, but we’ll let it pass for this one. Heading back to the States, our trip down ocean avenue makes a stop at Volcano Bay Water Theme Park at Universal Orlando. Specifically, we’re going to take a ride down the Kala and Tai Nui Water Slides.
These are two trapdoor water slides you won’t be able to recreate at home, so enjoy diving down them in 4K!
4. Brave the Summit
From Universal Orlando, our trek is going to take us all the way over to Disney’s own Blizzard Beach waterpark. Get ready for snow-meets-swimming in the land where cold and summer fun collide.
Get ready for Summit Plummet, the third tallest free falling waterslide in the world. Watching the video might not come with the same bragging right, but at least it can help you mentally prepare for taking the plummet in person yourself … once we can start going out to things again.
5. The Final Frontier
We’re about to go where no YouTube surfing, water sliding blog has gone before -- the final frontier.
You don’t need to worry about helmets to explore this space, but you do need a time machine: The Black Hole is another gem of the past that doesn’t exist anymore.
That isn’t stopping us from jumping in and enjoying a ride in glorious 4K, though. It’s not quite the same as time travel -- or actually traveling -- but it fits the bill quite nicely as a replacement in the meantime.
Sadly, the technology needed to spray you with water from your monitor hasn’t been invented yet, but that doesn’t mean that you aren’t overdue for some other new electronics. If you are struggling to load these videos -- or your TV or monitor is sub-4K and just isn’t doing them justice -- give us a call! We’d be glad to help you pick some new technology to help your stay-at-home summer go even better.
